The MAVISSE size guide
Find the fit that feels like you.
A little measuring makes choosing easier. Explore our guides to rings, bracelets and necklaces, and find the proportions you feel most comfortable wearing.

01 / Rings
A comfortable fit, down to the detail.
Choose the finger and hand you will wear the ring on. A good fit feels secure at the base of the finger and passes over the knuckle without being forced.
Measure a ring you already wear
Choose a ring that fits the same finger comfortably. Place it flat and measure straight across the centre of the opening, from one inside edge to the other. Record the diameter in millimetres; do not include the metal band.
Measure around your finger
Wrap a narrow strip of non-stretch paper around the base of your finger without pulling it tight. Mark where it meets, flatten the strip and measure the length in millimetres. Check that the equivalent loop can pass over your knuckle. This gives an approximate circumference.
| UK size | Inside diameter (mm) | Inside circumference (mm) |
|---|---|---|
| J | 15.5 | 48.7 |
| K | 15.9 | 50.0 |
| L | 16.3 | 51.2 |
| M | 16.7 | 52.5 |
| N | 17.1 | 53.7 |
| O | 17.5 | 55.0 |
| P | 17.9 | 56.2 |
| Q | 18.3 | 57.5 |
| R | 18.8 | 59.1 |
| S | 19.2 | 60.3 |
| T | 19.6 | 61.6 |
Approximate reference measurements; sizing charts and individual designs can vary slightly. A jeweller can check your size more accurately, especially for wide bands or when your knuckle is much wider than the base of your finger.
Measure more than once
Check at different times with your hands at a normal temperature. Fingers can change size with heat, cold and daily activity.
Allow for the design
A broad band may feel closer than a fine one. Do not assume every ring with the same size label will feel identical.
Between two sizes?
Repeat the measurement and compare the listed product dimensions. If you are still unsure, ask for help with the specific design before choosing.

02 / Bracelets
Room to move. A fit to suit you.
Wrap a flexible tape around the part of your wrist where the bracelet will sit. Keep it close to the skin without tightening it. If you use non-stretch string instead, mark the meeting point and measure it against a ruler.
Try the fit before you choose
For a flexible bracelet, use a tape or string to try a little extra room around your wrist. For example, a 16 cm wrist with 1.5 cm of space gives a 17.5 cm trial length. This is an illustration, not a size recommendation for every bracelet.
Chains & flexible bracelets
Compare your preferred fit with the listed bracelet length and any extender. Leave enough room for comfortable movement; charms and thicker links can affect how close it feels.
Closed bangles
A closed bangle must pass over your hand. Compare its inside diameter or circumference with a bangle that already fits, or measure the widest part of your hand with your fingers together.
Cuffs & open designs
Check both the inner measurements and the opening. An open shape does not always mean it is adjustable. Only reshape a piece if the product instructions explicitly allow it.
03 / Necklaces
Choose where the detail falls.
Use a soft tape or a piece of string to try different lengths around your neck. Check the result in a mirror with the neckline you plan to wear, then measure the length you like.
For a layered look
Try each chain length together before choosing. Allow enough separation for the pendants and links to sit comfortably, and check the adjustment range of each piece.

| Length (cm) | Approx. inches | Typical placement |
|---|---|---|
| 35 | 13.8 | Close to the neck |
| 40 | 15.7 | Around the base of the neck |
| 45 | 17.7 | On or near the collarbone |
| 50 | 19.7 | Below the collarbone |
| 55 | 21.7 | Upper chest |
| 60 | 23.6 | Further down the chest |
Placement varies with neck size, height, body shape and the design. Pendant length may add to the drop below the chain. Check whether the listed measurement includes an extender or pendant.
A few finishing details
Before you choose.
Does adjustable mean one size fits everyone?
No. An adjustable piece has a limited range. Check the minimum and maximum dimensions on its product page, and do not force a ring, cuff or clasp beyond the stated range.
How do I judge the size of earrings?
Check the listed height, width and drop in millimetres. Compare these with earrings you already wear. For hoops, check whether the measurement is the inside or outside diameter, as these are different.
What if I am choosing a gift?
If possible, compare a piece the recipient already wears in the same position. Ring measurements should come from the intended finger. Avoid guessing from appearance alone; contact us if you need the dimensions of a particular design.
Can I use a photo or the screen as a measuring guide?
Photographs show styling and proportions, not actual scale. Screen size and zoom change the size of displayed jewellery. Use a physical ruler or measuring tape and the written product measurements.
