This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by MAVISSE at www.mavisse.co.uk. MAVISSE is the trading name of Roman Roudnický, a sole trader based in Prague, Czechia. Our store is powered by Shopify.

What cookies and browser storage do
Cookies are small records saved by your browser. They can keep a basket working, remember a choice or help measure how a website is used. Local storage and session storage also keep information in your browser, but work differently from cookies.
A session cookie normally lasts for a browsing session. A persistent cookie has an expiry period and may remain between visits. Local storage can remain until it is removed; session storage normally lasts for the current tab’s session. Your browser may clear information earlier or restore some session information when reopening tabs.
First-party cookies are associated with the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies come from another domain. The purpose of the technology, rather than its name or domain alone, determines whether a consent choice is needed.
The purposes of this storage
Essential store functions
Some storage supports the basket, checkout, security and remembering your privacy decision. It helps provide the shopping functions you request. Rejecting optional cookies does not switch off these essential functions.
Shopping preferences and features
The store uses browser storage for your wishlist, recently viewed product references and the welcome offer. The table below explains what these features remember and how long that information remains. These local records are separate from newsletter subscription records held by Shopify.
Analytics and marketing
Shopify’s optional analytics can measure visits and interactions with the store. Optional marketing technologies can support advertising measurement and personalisation. Where consent is required, your choice is managed through the store’s cookie controls. The banner offers “Accept optional cookies” and “Reject optional cookies”.
Cookie permission and email marketing permission are separate. Accepting cookies does not subscribe you to the MAVISSE newsletter, and rejecting cookies does not unsubscribe an existing email subscription.

Clearing these local records can remove saved items or make the welcome offer appear again. It does not delete an order, remove customer information held by Shopify or unsubscribe you from emails.
Manage or withdraw your cookie choice

The controls update Shopify’s analytics, marketing and preference consent choices together. They do not erase the local feature records listed above. Use your wishlist controls or browser settings to manage those records.
Closing the banner or continuing to browse is not the same as choosing to accept optional cookies. Withdrawing consent applies going forward; it does not undo earlier lawful use of information. A cookie choice is associated with a browser, so you may need to make it again on another browser or device, after clearing site data or when the choice expires.

Use your browser’s controls
Most browsers let you review or delete cookies and site data, block certain cookies and control third-party storage. Look in the browser’s privacy or site-settings menu. Private browsing may limit what remains after a session, but does not make all activity anonymous.
Blocking or deleting essential storage can affect your basket, checkout, saved preferences or sign-in. To stop newsletter emails, use the unsubscribe link in an email or contact us; deleting cookies alone does not do this.
